FT bit is one kind of bits for big holes(15mm-70mm). There are many names for it -- forstner bit/hinge boring bit or other. FT bits can drill flat-bottomed holes in wood, in any direction relative to the wood grain. They can cut at the edge of a piece of wood or cut overlapping holes; for such applications, they are usually used on a drill press or lathe rather than a hand-held drill. Since the holes are flat at the bottom, they are great for drilling through already glued veneers to add inlays. The bold design also greatly increases the volume of the FT bits.

Usually FT bit is composed of 5 alloys (KJ-FT is composed of 3). There are strict standards for the size and angle of each alloy. Only for every use of customers can get the desired results. Moreover, different from drill bits, each FT bit has margins, which makes it more convenient for customers to repair. The carbide used on FT bit is sufficient in both thickness and length, so that the strength of the whole bit is sufficient and the shape is beautiful enough. Moreover, each part of the carbide is processed by CNC grinder, so that the size and appearance can be guaranteed to the greatest extent.
